Vegetarian Chili
Vegetarian Chili Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 package of Gardein the ultimate beefless ground
1 yellow onion
7-8 garlic cloves (crushed)
1 green bell pepper ( chopped)
4-5 banana peppers ( chopped)
1 cup cut cherry tomatoes (chopped)
20 or so kalamata olives cut in half
4 cups veggie broth
2 cups water
1 28 oz can crushed fire roasted tomatoes ( with liquid)
1 can of black beans ( drained)
1 can great northern beans ( drained)
2 cans kidney beans ( drained)
2 packets of taco seasoning
2 Tbs maple syrup
1 Tbs garlic powder
1 Tbs onion powder
1 Tbs smoked paprika
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chili flakes ( optional)
DIRECTIONS:
1.Sauté onion and garlic in a little olive oil until onion is translucent
2. Add beefless ground, 1 packet of taco seasoning, peppers and sauté together together for 2-3 minutes
3. Add water, broth, and all other ingredients and seasonings. Mix well. If thicker consistency desired add only 1 cup of water, if thinner add 3 cups of water.
4. Cook over medium heat for 20-25 minutes.
Serves 10
