5.) Read the Bible together -

Let’s be honest bunnies don’t lay eggs and the holiday itself is a mixture of spring type celebrations mixed in with the death and resurrection of Jesus. This trime of year does coincide with passover season and the time of year when Jesus was crucified. If you are faith based and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and ponder the sacrifice He paid for us, take time to read the story to your children. Talk about the meaning of it all. Let them ask questions. The most amazing thing about the story is that He rose again! Not only that but He is coming back for all of us. All this sadness and uncertainty we face will soon be gone. We can encourage each other knowing this world is not our forever home and there is something even more amazing for us.

Here’s a few verses you can read together.

Romans 8:34

"Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died — more than that, who was raised to life — is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us."

Acts 1:10-11

While he was going and they were gazing up toward heaven, suddenly two men in white robes stood by them. They said, ‘Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw Him go into heaven.’

John 11:25-26

"I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

Acts 3:15

“You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.”

Mark 16:5-7

“As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. ‘Don’t be alarmed,’ he said. ‘You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’’”

Romans 6:9

"We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him."

Mark 16:2-4

"Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, [Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome] were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, 'Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?' But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away."

1 Peter 1:3

"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hopethrough the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

Matthew 28:18-20

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"

John 3:16-17

"For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to be its judge, but to be its savior."
