Easy DIY Christmas Mantle using fresh greenery

It’s time to share some holiday decor and one of my favorite places to decorate is the mantle. Mostly because we spend so much time around it in winter when there is a warm fire and cozy glow! I always use natural elements and this year is no different. Keep reading to see how you can re-create it and also see my friends who are sharing their mantels too.

If you’re looking for more holiday inspiration you can look at last years Christmas Home Tour , A Simple Christmas Tablescape, or this DIY holiday Garland.

THEME FOR THIS YEAR

This year has been busy and I’ve really wanted to focus more on what we have vs what we don’t. I am trying to just stick to things we already own when decorating. I usually focus more on brass bells and gold accents but this year I am leaning more towards silver bells, beautiful blue colors, and fresh greenery. Of course there are always twinkle lights and something homemade. Scroll down to see what else I incorporated.

MATERIALS USED

For the mantle this year I knew I wanted to use fresh greenery. I have incorporated some in previous years but this time I wanted to only use fresh. There’s something so special about bringing the outdoor in and the smell is AMAZING!

Cedar Garland- Lynch Creek Farm is my absolute favorite when it comes to natural greenery. They have an amazing selection and their greens always arrive fresh and last a long time. They have been so kind to offer a $5 discount if you want to order something! Simply Use AZUREFARM5

Antique Silver Bells Garland- I found this garland at Hobby Lobby for $10! It’s 6’ long and I got 2. It’s currently my only new purchase for this holiday season.

Twinkle Lights- I love these beautiful star lights. I got them last year but had them in a different place so love them on the mantle this year!

Hurricane Vases- I used these during fall and decided to leave them there. You can never go wrong with more candle light!

Salt Dough Ornament Stars- I made these with Ava a few weeks ago and added a few to the mantle. . I love adding something that we created together. See THIS POST for how I made the salt dough ornaments.

That’s it! Nothing too complex. Just simple and beautiful! We have a frame TV above our mantle and I currently have last year’s holdiday photo up, but I plan to change it once I add our tree this week to something different! Stay tuned to see what it will be!
