Min Valentine’s Chocolate Apples with pink sugar and coconut
INGREDIENTS
3 large Fuji or honey crisp apples ( the crunchier the better)
1 cup melted Chocolate chips ( I use dark, non-dairy chips)
Approximately 1/2 cup of the following
Pink sugar crystals
Shredded coconut
Optional : pecans, drizzled caramel, the options are endless
Directions:
With a melon scooper scoop out tiny apple balls.
Approximately 10 per Apple. Work in batches of 10 at a time.
Insert stick into every apple center, be careful to not pierce all the way through
Once chocolate is melted ( on stove or microwave) mix well then let cool about 5 min.
Insert apple pieces and swirl to cover as much as possible. Then place onto parchment or wax lined tray
Once you’ve done 10 sprinkle with your choice ingredient. Sprinkle to cover as well as possible.
Let dry. If too much chocolate has pooled ok the bottom remove and place on new paper before its fully dried.
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Add ribbon to toothpicks for detail and enjoy!
Makes approximately 30 mini chocolate apples.
Serving suggestion: place in pretty tray and add kraft paper underneath. With a chalk marker write what each flavor is for added detail!
