Lemon Roasted Brussels Sprouts
INGREDIENTS
2 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts ( fresh not frozen)
2Tbs olive oil
1 Tbs honey
Zest and juice from 1 lemon
salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 400
Half and trim Brussels sprouts
Place sprouts in bag with 2 Tbs of olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Shake well to coat sprouts
Spread evenly onto baking sheet with sprouts cut side down. If there’s loose leaves cook them too.
Sprinkle half of your lemon zest over sprouts.
Bake for 25 minutes ( approximately. Not more than 30) Until they look crispy around the edges.
DO NOT overcook! This is what causes them to be bitter.
Remove from oven and drizzle with honey and remaining lemon zest. Sprinkle salt one more time.
Serve warm!
