A FEW TIPS

I am NO expert as this is my first time doing this but I’ve had some wonderful friends help give me tips. Creating this printable has helped me very much!

  1. Have the incubator tested and ready before your eggs arrive or before you place them in the incubator. Run it for a full 8 hours to make sure the humidity and temperature are good before the eggs go in.

  2. Label the eggs so you can keep track. Place an x and o on the eggs so you can know which side you’ve turned etc. Also number them so you know which ones are fertile or not when you candle them. "Candling" an egg is the process of holding a light or candle near the egg to see the inner contents.

  3. Keep a chart nearby so you can mark it when you turn the eggs and candle them. I also like to write down my temperature and humidity to ensure all is well for that day.

This is my go-to method for keeping track of our eggs and what works for me. I will follow up with some posts in regards to the results after the eggs have hatched.

I hope you find this tool helpful!
