Fall Farmhouse Kitchen
Hi friends! I am so grateful for cooler weather and it’s officially my favorite season! I am slowly bringing in touch of fall and started with the kitchen! Read on to see how to bring elements of fall into your home.

5 WAYS TO DECORATE YOUR KITCHEN FOR FALL
I love adding subtle details of fall!. I used to do a lot of orange and pumpkins but as the years have passed I’m starting to like a more organic natural vibe with muted tones and natural elements. I’m loving it! I start by organizing my kitchen. Move things around from where they were and you’ll feel like you have a whole new kitchen!
There are 5 things I do to really bring in the fall feels.
Wood- wood adds so much warmth and depth. Love bread boards, cutting boards, etc. I have a few vintage pieces and love how they add so much character.
Metals- Gold/brass, vintage candelabra’s etc. These really add a touch of glam and candlelight adds the perfect mood to the kitchen.
Amber glass- These pieces definitely evoke feelings of fall and also add more warmth without being too obvious
Baskets- I love the texture they add!
Pumpkins- I like to do a few pumpkins but usually in a lighter color and not too many. Just enough to add that fall feel.
I also always love seasonal fresh florals to really make the kitchen alive!
WREATHS
I love adding wreaths that are seasonal but still muted so they blend in with any decor. The one on my hood is made fro wheat grass. I love how earthy and organic it is! While the one on my pantry door is simple magnolia leaves.
COUNTERTOP DECOR
I like to keep the countertop fairly simple. A simple basket is the perfect way to display fresh florals or seasonal veggies such as pumpkins and artichokes.
SHELVES + ORGANIZATION
I have really enjoyed having open kitchen shelves! It has given me the option to truly make my kitchen functional. Our dishes and glassware sit on them, as well as some decorative pieces. I use my Ball®Canning flute jars as our glasses currently and love them! They are beautiful and so practical. I also found small little vintage glasses at a shop one time and I have them in a tray that also has bowls and silverware. I find that using trays to organize items in is a useful and beautiful way to practically style your kitchen.
Gather items close you use often such as salt, oil, rice, nuts, grains, for me those are items I use a lot and I love being able to just reach and grab them.
A picture of vintage painting is also a fun way to bring in style. I took a picture of Petra back when we took a trip to Jordan a few years ago. I love the colors of the image and I found it perfect for fall in the kitchen. It’s framed by Framebridge which I love.
I am trying to use less paper towel so I have kitchen towels sitting on the counter where I can easily grab them. I use THESE and they are GREAT
CLEANING
When it comes to cleaning my kitchen I try my best to stick to natural products as much as possible. Marble can be a sensitive stone so I use a natural marble cleaner I make myself! See post HERE on how to make it yourself!
VINTAGE PIECES
My bread boards, kettle, old tool tray, and candlestick are all vintage pieces found in antique shops. I love how they add such character. You don’t need to have a lot of them just a few special pieces that you love.
