Leaves of thanks: A fun thanksgiving activity to get the whole family involved!

It’s Thanksgiving month and although many have moved on to Christmas, I truly love Thanksgiving and the meaning behind it. It’s a wonderful time to do something simple but meaningful with your family.

Giving thanks in all things is something I want to teach Ava. Keep reading to see how to do this fun thanksgiving activity.

SUPPLIES NEEDED

  1. An open frame

  2. String

  3. Small wooden clothes hangers

  4. Leaf cutouts or even real dried leaves

MEANING

Take time at the beginning of the month to ask family members what they are thankful for. Each week put up new leaves and look at them throughout the month. On Thanksgiving Day, you can go around the table and read the leaves. It’s an opportunity to share with your little ones or family members how giving thanks in all things can truly be a blessing. I love just glancing by it and seeing reasons to be thankful this season.
