Spring around the farm and Nest Designs
It’s spring around the farm and it’s not only beautiful weather but such a special time to experience it through Ava’s eyes! She is soaking it all in and it’s truly magical to view something through the eyes of a child.
Nest Designs recently sent us some beautiful pajamas and you guys know I do #bathrobechores so wearing them outside is super normal around here. The theme of Nest Designs new line is country charm with beautiful new prints which were inspired by the countryside. Of course matching with mom is a must.
They asked me a few questions on motherhood and I answered them belowKeep reading to see more images of their beautiful designs and some thoughts.
In your opinion, what are the benefits of having a child grow up in the thick of nature?
I’ve always had thoughts on this but never truly took time to reflect on it till having Ava. There are so many benefits but I’ll focus on a couple. Education through play and learning life lessons.
I feel outdoors is a lesson book. Every time Ava goes outside and sees a plant grow taller or a baby chick grow bigger she is learning about life. If she was not constantly exposed to nature or the outside I feel she would not have as much “ hands on “ moments that have taught her.Things like how to get the chicken feed and feed the chickens. How to open a gate, how to interact with the animals in a kind and respectful way. She is learning life lessons day by day just by being outside. Those lessons are all ones she will never forget.
It bring me such joy to see her in her element. I can only wish these daily interactions prepare her for the big world out there.
What has been the most enjoyable moment fo your family ?
I say spring evenings at golden hour when we are feeding the animals and Ava is running around are pretty magical. You can hear the crickets, frogs, and birds in the distance. The air is crisp and clean. Barefoot and happy, it’s a time to soak it all in and reflect. We go to the garden and get our hands in the dirt, we walk down the driveway o get the mail. It’s simple moments that are memorable to me. I have loved the simplicity of slowing down and enjoying the little things.
How do the natural elements inspire you?
There is something so magical about being in nature. The colors and textures are far more beautiful than anything we can create. Just being in nature is inspiring. With having an IG account and blog, I love beautiful inspiring imagery. I think it lifts the soul and make you happy. Living in nature has definitely made me more creative and has helped inspire me daily. What inspires you daily? If you have not bee in nature as much recently I encourage you to take an afternoon walk and just soak it all in. It truly is inspiring and relaxing
Why do I like Nest Designs?
