Tips for teething baby
Ava has been teething since she was 6 months and although I’m still learning there’s a few things I think have helped! Keep reading to see what I do and also what many of you mama’s suggested to me on IG.
WHAT IS TEETHING?
Teething is where the babies teeth go through the gums and this causes pain. I cannot even imagine how much that would hurt! It can start at 6 months and continue all the way till 2 years ( But I’ve heard it can last longer, gah!) Babies are normally irritable and their gums are swollen. There are a few things that can help soothe the pain naturally and help baby.
Here are the things Ava has liked so far.
Chewing on a cold carrot
Chewing on a piece of celery
Cold applesauce when she eats, loves it
Washcloth wet on the corner then frozen ( it works even better if you soak the washcloth in chamomile at first, twist it, then place in freezer. Camomile is soothing)
Amber teething necklace ( This maybe works, ha! I have put one on her and think it helps with her drooling, but the verdict is still out on this)
Camilla teething liquid.
Other things mom’s suggested for teething
Hylands teething tablets ( I have used these before. They are natural and i do think help soothe)
Frozen Wash cloth
Frozen Peas
Frozen Fruit in silicone teething sucker
Dr. Talbots Soothing tabs
Gel filled teething ring
Frozen spoon
Banana teether
Orajel to gums
Molar Magician

Frozen Breast milk popsicles
Ice cubes
Prayer ( you’d be surprised at how may people said this! I totally get it! )
